The Traumatic Journeys of German-Americans

Updated: May 13, 2022

Created By Victoria Arce

This map will show the journeys of 5 different individuals/families who came to America for a better life. However, their ethnicity of being German has caused them hardships and tragedies on their journey to fit in America. They were interned in camps for many years and separated from their families. Eventually, they would be freed, but at what cost? German-Americans who were interned are still not recognized by America and were never apologized to for their misjudgment. It is time for America to see what they did wrong and see how individuals/families were destroyed because of them. May we remember everyone who was affected by this ugliness and will finally right a wrong.
